On this podcast, I sit down with Jenny Tse, owner of the Sipping Streams Tea company in interior Alaska. Her company is the only tea manufacturing company in Alaska. She also has the only farthest north tea farm in the world! And she grows tea in a geothgermal environment in winter when its dark and could get 35-50 degrees below zero. Does tea really grow anywhere other than India and China? Well, what an education I recieved.
Jenny’s passion for tea wasn’t always there. She drank coffee as a college student and only switched to tea for economical reasons. Tea was much cheaper than her hand crafted daily coffee. She noticed that tea just elicited comments that never occurred with coffee, in her mind tea brings people together with shared experiences and a sense of participating in something that isnt such a necessity but an enjoyable experience.
“We believe in the best quality of life for our mind, body, and soul. And encourage a community of diverse culture and age where people can come together and grow to know who they are”…..Tse
